Rural Thefts Arrest

Last week, several reports surfaced of men entering gardens and outbuildings in the Woodchurch and Wittersham areas to steal furniture and lawnmowers.

A silver Ford Transit with ladders on the roof was identified as the vehicle involved, linked to the West Kent region. On Saturday, 25 April, colleagues from the Ashford CSU and I dedicated our shift to tracking it down.

Following some tenacious investigative work, we located and stopped the van in Paddock Wood. The driver was arrested for multiple counts of theft and burglary; he has since been bailed, and the vehicle has been seized.

We want to send a clear message: no matter how far criminals travel to target our community, we will work tirelessly to track them down and stop them.
